More than heels.A new way to move.

Pole Heels, previously often called Exotic Pole Dance, brings together pole technique, dance and movement in platform heels. You learn to create longer lines, fluid transitions and expressive choreography while developing control, musicality and confidence.

Many pole dancers arrive convinced Pole Heels is not for them. Then they discover the elegance, the freedom and the feeling of moving differently, and fall in love with it. You do not have to feel sensual or confident before you start. The class gives you a safe place to explore both.

There are many Pole Heels styles: Hard Style, powerful, fast and explosive; Old School, sensual and inspired by the roots of the discipline; Russian Exotic, technical and dynamic; and Pole Heels Flow, focused on fluidity and musicality.

At Flow Factory Brussels, we mainly teach Pole Heels Flow. This style prioritises fluid movement, natural transitions between the pole and the floor (floorwork), body lines and musical interpretation.

The goal is not simply to string tricks together, but to create a continuous, elegant and expressive dance, where each movement connects harmoniously to the next.

Pole Heels, long known as Exotic Pole Dance, is a discipline that combines pole dance, dancing in high heels and bodily expression.

The term Pole Heels is increasingly used today because it describes the discipline and its many styles more clearly. It also moves away from the word “exotic”, which is sometimes associated with stereotypes or controversial connotations.

Both names refer to largely similar practices, even though the term Exotic Pole Dance is still used in many studios and communities.
